FRI 7/30/10 -- Ill be at The Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland, FL, volunteering 1 - 5 pm. So come on in, especially if you've never been. Located near Eatonville, just a few miles NORTH of the Winter Park Village, turn left on Lake Ave, and then a right on East Street. *We've got eagles, owls, falcons, hawks, kites, & many more Birds of Prey. Come and check it out.

It's ONLY $5 to get in, stay as long as you'd like! Great for fieldtrips, and outings with friends & family. Open every day, 10 - 4 pm. Closed on Mondays. (CALL me if you're on your way/here.)

SAT 7/31/10 -- An AWESOME event happening at The Orlando Brewing Company to help benefit the local group of Sierra Club. Beer Tasting and a tour of the facility will be going on for us at 6 pm sharp. ONLY $12 to attend! All proceeds will benefit the political committee/funding of our local Sierra Club group.

Come on out & paddle it up with Eco-Action! This is an awesome local group that goes out weekly on Sundays, to clean up a designated water way. We collect trash, recyclables, old tires, and random things as well. Stuff, that you wonder, how the heck it got in there in the first place! These are all things toxic to the local Eco-system/Wildlife. A GREAT excuse to get on the water, connect with nature & fellow eco-warriors, and also get a little arm work-out to boot!

AND, I've been volunteering with Audubon Center for Birds of Prey out in Maitland for just over one year now. I'm fortunate enough to work so closely with such amazing animals. I'm usually there Fridays, 1-5 pm -- so you should stop in and say hi, and check out what all the squawk is about. They've got Eagles, Hawks, Kestrels, Vultures, Owls -- just to name a few. See a part of "Real" Florida", and make a difference in their lives today! ;) *They're always looking for new volunteers! Consider asking when you come out to visit. :)
